Implantation is a part of dentistry that is growing extensively in countries with developed economies. Thus, about 3 million US residents have at least one dental implant, and more than 500,000 individuals undergo implantation surgery annually. Still, this procedure is becoming more accessible worldwide (even in poor countries) due to rapid technological progress in biomaterial science, hardware, and software equipment, which makes it easy to produce high-quality implants.
So, implantation is one of the most prospective areas in dentistry, and that's why you should visit a lecture by Dr. Daniel Buser – a Swiss professor of oral surgery at Bern University with more than 20 years of work experience – announced by Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM).
Dr. Buser – is a famous scientist who invented Guided Bone Regeneration – one of the most important approaches to bone augmentation in modern implant surgery. Besides his scientific research and clinician activity, the professor also serves as a lecturer in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the HSDM, sharing his experience and knowledge with young specialists, experienced professionals, and anyone interested in and passionate about dental science.
The lecture will start at 4:00 pm (EST) on October 7. If you are in the US, you can visit the event personally (it's open to all comers) in the HSDM Research and Education Building; otherwise, you can register for the Webinar.
