On 27 August, The Senior Dental Leaders Program – an initiative established in 2007 and dedicated to growing leadership talents in dentistry – announced a rebranding.
The refreshed organization – now called Global Oral Health Leadership Institute (GOHL) – under the International College of Dentists (ICD) management maintained its primary goal of providing the industry with high-quality managers. The initiative is supported by a group of new patrons – Henry Schein, Inc., in collaboration with Harvard School of Dental Medicine and King's College London.
Since 2007, GOHL has graduated about 200 successful dental healthcare leaders from 43 countries. ICD, in turn, developed a network of 12,000 dental leaders and professionals in over 140 countries, making the initiative a perfect place to build a dental business career.
The institution offers a one-year-long program (with a previous rigorous selection process) for international participants, which includes a five-day residential component, different group events, lectures, mentorship, and other networking opportunities.
The main goal of such activities is to accumulate resources and connections to improve global oral health, especially in areas with the greatest needs for dental care, by providing dentistry with highly qualified managers and leaders.
