Last month, Kyle Summerford – an experienced dental management educator, lecturer, and speaker – launched DOMA, a US-based organization dedicated to the education and coaching of dental professionals.
Mr. Summerford has an impressive career history – he started as a desk team member and progressed to become a world-recognized expert in clinic management. His new initiative aims to offer similar opportunities to other administrative staff nationwide.
DOMA grew up in Summerford's Facebook Dental Office Managers Community, which has approximately 20,000 members. This social media group unites people with the same careers and interests, and the new DOMA organization is its logical continuation. The latter introduces a vast amount of educational materials that can help to enhance dental managers' effectiveness.
Becoming a DOMA member, you'll receive access to:
- Coaching and training. Monthly live sessions feature video lectures on how to effectively handle dental managers' duties, including insurance billing, communication with the clinic's team, and more.
- Career development opportunities. The DOMA community will help professionals network with prominent experts in the field and provide them with exclusive management approaches.
- Leadership promoting. Special training dedicated to developing emotional intelligence, goal-driven thinking, and other essential features of an effective dental clinic manager.
- Resource vault. DOMA provides its members with scripts, checklists, templates, and other helpful resources to help dental managers establish more effective workflows in their facilities.
Additionally, the organization has developed an AI-powered chatbot that provides real-time consultation on dental coding and complex management situations, offering guidance and advice on some administrative processes.
Kyle Summerford himself summarized DOMA's mission as: "Our goal is to equip managers with the confidence and clarity they need to lead and to help practices build a culture where excellence, communication, and systems thrive."
Why is it important?
Dental clinic management and administrative staff play a crucial role in the facility, as they schedule patients, communicate with all members of the clinic's team, provide billing services, and perform a range of other essential functions, enabling the facility to operate effectively.
Thus, it's essential to automate as many of these processes as possible, and we at Remedico are working in this field. Our comprehensive clinic management software can significantly reduce time and expense on scheduling, reminders, communication, and even billing. Thus, in our recent update, we released a new tool that allows you to pay invoices with insurance coverage as easily as with a card or cash payment method.
