Recently, the Community Care Foundation — a Delta Dental department involved in charity activity — announced huge funding for non-profit organizations that increase accessibility to oral healthcare in the US.

The Community Care will donate about $16.3 million in grants available for a list of partners and companies across 15 states. The funding focused on three main tendencies:

  • Managing the oral health crisis among elderlies
  • health equity among the population
  • rural oral health access.
“Each of these focus areas represents critical areas of opportunity in improving access to care, and the partnerships supported by Access to Care Grants play a vital role in enabling us to advance our shared goal of helping to make the communities we serve stronger, healthier, and more resilient.” 

Since its formation in 2011, the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation has already donated more than $150 million through grants to non-profit organizations.

This case is a good example of how huge dental service providers (Delta Dental - one of the biggest dental insurance companies) invest in communities to gain long-term benefits. The more people have access to treatment, the more likely they become clients of dental services and equipment providers.
