This February, a novel smart platform - called Mawaheb - was presented at the Arab Health Congress in Dubai. Mawaheb launched to improve job-seeking processes and organize training, guidance, and consultations to help the local community find a workplace according to individuals' skills and abilities.
This platform pays special attention to the healthcare industry, helping with research, education, and innovations. Mawaheb offers dozens of opportunities for practicing specialists and medical students to guide them through training and job-seeking processes.
Why is it important?
Mowahed is cooperating with a wide range of private sector employers and government institutions, gathering them on one platform and helping new network connections emerge.
During the presentation, dr Wadeia Mohamed Sharif - Director of the Medical Education and Research Department - said that this initiative aims to transform Dubai's healthcare sector and will make a significant impact on the labor market. Moreover, Mawaheb will help to diversify medical specializations in crucial fields.
What’s next?
For now, the program includes more than 24 local healthcare institutions, providing 120 job positions and involving about 300 students and graduates in the initiative. Mawaheb will be a great addition to the Dubai Health Authorities (DHA) activities – in 2023 only, the organization launched 56 medical conferences and enrolled hundreds of new specialists.
Except for the educational aspect, the initiative also supports scientists and institutions involved in medical research. Also, Dr. Sharif shared DHA’s plans for creating a medical digital knowledge base for local doctors and interns.
